Sami Bread or "embercakes" are called "Gahku" in Sami, "Glödkakor" in Swedish.
12.5 grams of fresh yeast
7 1/2 dl of water
2 tablespoons of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 1/2 table spoon of rasp oil
flour as needed
Mix and knead together to get a thick dough. Take a small ball and flatten it. Make holes in it to prevent it from raising unevenly. A tool like this one can be used:
Cook on firepit on a skillet.
When slightly golden and hard enough to turn, flip over.
When slightly golden and hard enough to stand, place vertically on the side of the firepit by the stones, to let it get darker in colour and harden some more.
